कोण जबाबदार? सरकार? च्छेऽ हो! आपणच!

Image
This is one of the cover stories which we did for a special issue somewhere around the time when the scams like "Adarsh", 2G and 3G came into picture. Our main theme was about the black money stored in the Swiss banks and corruption in general. In this article, ways to spend this black money are being discussed.

Image
This might be one of my oldest write up. First ever interview taken. Of one of the employees of the Tarun Bharat newspaper. Fresh after giving the standard 10 boards, when had loads and loads of time, had attended this camp in the summer of 2006. I remember this camp! It was a great fun. I learnt not to say 'a' while public speaking! Everyone used to count when any one of us made that mistake. I remember, we had to present a play too! Well, have no idea which role I played and what the play was, but remember that, it was seriously a nice experience! We got to see the newspaper printing process, all those huge printing machines and met some exciting people! This one indeed need a place on the blog!

Lakeside, again!

Image
Yet another night ride to the lake. Somehow, I love going to this place. It reminds me of that little lake near my home. The two scenarios of the lakeside are completely opposite; the one back home was at its colorful best and this one is just too mute, yet both of them strike the chord. This visit was startlingly different. Damn! Forgot to bring the camera, again! A little moist climate due to the little showers in the afternoon, gentle breeze and the waves like the silent sea had their day. And alas, no thoughts troubling the mind! Not a single word to think of. I just sat their chatting with my friends and enjoying the breeze. No other things even bothered to touch me. I closed my eyes couple of times, absolute silence! I was able to concentrate. I was not forced to open the eyes by the clamoring thoughts. And the best part, suddenly the awkward silences just vanished. Yes, they found their peace. The unknown and the invisible barriers were broken quite magically. J

At a Certain Night of a Certain Day!

A silent night. She sat there all alone. It was so dark that she couldn't even see the clear reflection of her vociferous self. The only sound she could hear was of the occasional flights and small little boats. She was just staring at those small consecutive ripples, lost in her thought, fighting all the wordless wars deep inside. She even overlooked those beautiful stars playing mischievously with the clouds which assured that there will be rainy days ahead. But, did she care about those rains? Did she care about those tiny fishes, circling around the wooden platform on which she sat, who knew they will be caught in the net when it will be pulled up and they might not escape, that it might be their last night together? Did she care that the lake had a lighting silhouette, an amazingly beautiful and serene view? No, she did not. She was just engrossed in her own thoughts so much so that even if she have had a company she would have felt lost. How much she wish

Numbers!

Image
A joke has been making quite a lot of rounds on Quora - What is the best geekiest joke? Answer - Instead of rounding up the quantity of apples as 1000 you end up rounding it as 1024! (Not the exact words of the joke) On a serious note, this is actually hilarious as well as worth a thought! As common human beings, are we not a little fetish about the numbers and such numbers have always influenced us to such an extent that we still believe in the Friday, 13th or 17th or any number that may come in mind? Well, this is an absolute blind faith, and I am not going to discuss about it. In general, it is a very debatable topic of which I choose to restrain right now as many people may have very different opinions about it. Coming back to the topic. I love numbers. I love it when they are even numbers or the multiples of 5. 2, 4, 5, 10 sound so complete right? And on the other hand the odd numbers sound so incomplete. I am so attached to these numbers that, back in s

Places !

Image
I have always been impressed by the way any place enforces itself to connect with the self. Be it by the way of its planning, its aura or any other little minute things. One way or the other the city tries to interact with its people. Like a continuous narrator she keeps on telling her story again and again. She is more than eager to let us witness her story, make us understand her significance, her stand and her longings. She just needs a faithful disciple. I don't know about others, but I have always felt like each and every city has a different take. Be it Mumbai, Goa, Nagpur or for that matter Arlington or New York! Some of these places have compelled me to fall in love with them. As in head over heels. I will be more than eager to visit them again and again. It is some weird connection that I have with them. If I get a positive energy from some, I do get a negative vibe from some! You will say it is a matter of choice or just a matter of acceptance. But, trust me,
